Forbes Magazine is one of the world's largest and most important business magazines. We are all the more honoured to be featured in an article about Phygitals and the possibilities of NFT technology!
In an article of 18 August on the occasion of a new "phygital" of the web3 platform OneOf reports the renowned Forbes Magazine in detail about NFTs, their meaningfulness, their benefits and their future.
At the beginning, the widespread opinion is presented that NFTs are pure speculation and are only used for low-quality art, but then author Christos Makridis immediately turns around and clarifies that this is only the tip of the iceberg and that the actual added value and sense of NFTs consists in digital, forgery-proof authentication and proof of ownership of real physical objects - and it is precisely this interrelation between the physical and the digital that gives rise to what is known as a "digital art". "Phygital".
The new product from OneOf presented in the article is an attempt to bring iconic images of musicians, film stars, comic characters and cultural events into the digital world. The first launch in this regard will be called "Legends of Rock: Summer of Love" and will take place on the occasion of the 55th Monterey Pop Festival.
One example from this collection is the picture taken by photographer Jill Gibson of Jimi Hendrix at this very festival 54 years ago in 1967. There will be 99 copies of each Photo printed and together with a Digital twin in the blockchain sold. This is to give buyers the opportunity to take a piece of rock 'n roll history home with them. Each copy contains a forgery-proof digital proof of authenticity.
Another new NFT project comes from American Express and will offer credit card holders access to exclusive pop-up events.
NFTs are ideal for using traditional Tickets and memberships to a new level and also offer the massive advantage over normal memberships that they can be resold at any time.
Here the article continues - and more in our direction!
The Crypto stamp of Austrian Post is presented. These have been around since 2019, with each physical stamp having a digital twin, some in different colours and rarities. The stamp has mobilised collectors around the world, becoming one of the most successful NFT projects worldwide, and almost 1 million stamps have already been issued to date, some of which are now worth several thousand euros on the secondary market.
This year's newly published Crypto Stamp Art is presented, in which the Post takes the opposite approach: one first buys an NFT, the digital representation of the artwork, and then receives a limited edition of the physical stamp to go with it.
In the second half of the article, the Expertise of our CEO Michael Dorner citation. As we have both physically produced and created the NFTs for all of the Austrian Post crypto stamps, and have also implemented several other larger and smaller NFT projects around the world since the beginning of this project, we have have built up extensive knowledge and specialised in sensible, practical and useful applications for NFTs.because that is where we see the future of technology.
While NFTs are used to store art, they can also store a variety of other information ranging from the creation of Mortgages to processing routes for the Supply chain management reach.
"Products that are securely connected to an NFT via NFC chips, for example, can be easily verified on the blockchain so that users can check whether the product is the original. Cars of the future will have their mileage written and stored in the blockchain, making it impossible for fraudsters to sell a car with altered odometers... all the maintenance intervals and repairs will be stored in the chain so that no one can sell a broken car - or even a Clock, a Luxury bag or another product ... this takes place behind the scenes, out of sight of the end consumer." says Michael Dorner.
Now that our approach of finding and implementing useful use-cases for NFTs has been successful at the NFT.NYC successful and our expertise in this regard from the ORF, Forbes Magazine and some others have already caught up, we will continue to withstand the "Crypto Winter" and fight for a successful future of NFT technology!
