With the production of the Crypto stamp and the Crypto stamp art of Österreichische Post AG, we have broken down the boundaries between the digital and the real world. For the first time, we are now presenting our augmented reality products live on site to a particularly critical audience: the visitors of the Vienna Comic Con 2022.
Our sister company Variuscard printed the badges for the VIECC for the first time this year. Both the Standard version made of laminated cardboard, as well as the Ultra VIP Badges for exhibitors and visitors were made entirely in-house.
These noble badges consist of Aluminiumdibond, a composite material made of 2 layers of aluminium with a plastic layer in between. The plates were printed with UV ink on our new large format printer and then milled on our cutter.
In keeping with Comic Con, the different passes were presented with different motifs. On the Weekend Pass, for example, you could Wandavision on the passport of issue Deadpool, on the Ultra VIP Badge Venom, etc.
What is VariusSystems, a cloud software company, doing on Austria's largest pop culture and games fair? Where everything revolves around comics, fantasy, cosplay, gaming, film and television?
We were together with the Austrian Post with our Crypto stamp art in the middle of the action. The Post was thus presented as a young, modern company and the Digital and physical stamp collecting as the hip new trend in philately.
For the first time, the visitors had the opportunity to use Augmented reality to bring the motives of the Crypto stamp to life before their eyes.
And here we come full circle to Comic Con, because the motif of the Stamp, the Messenger of the gods Mercury was made by the most successful Austrian NFT artist, Pr1mal Cypherimplemented. And apart from this project, he is working with the world's biggest comic publishers such as Marvel and DC together.
In addition, at our stand there was a Augemented Reality Game and the possibility, personalised stamps to be made.
The public enthusiastically accepted the stand and our offers. On Saturday we were almost overrun, on Sunday it was a little more relaxed.
Together with Swiss Post, we have developed our own Augemented Reality Game developed for Comic Conwhich could be tried out and played directly at our stand with your own smartphone or one of our tablets. One of the prizes was a CSA Mystery Boxxx.
With this technology-based extension of reality, players were able to interact and thus Linking physical and digital perception. The game took up the motifs of the Crypto stamps and so the Mercury had to try to shoot the animals that adorn the different Crypto stamps.
The game was very well received and many visitors took part.
For the game, we at VariusSystems have also developed, among other things, the User registration, the Ranking and the Profit determination programmed.
