The protection of your personal data is of particular concern to us. We therefore process your data exclusively on the basis of the legal provisions (DSGVO, TKG 2003). In this data protection information, we inform you about the most important aspects of data processing within the framework of our website.
Contact us & Newsletter
If you contact us by form, e-mail or in person, the data you provide will be stored by us for twelve months for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent.
You have the option of subscribing to our newsletter via our website. For this we need your e-mail address and your declaration that you agree to receive the newsletter.To provide you with targeted information, we also collect and process information voluntarily provided about your areas of interest, birthday, telephone number, address, additional note fields, company name, job position, industry, title, salutation.
Once you have registered for the newsletter, we will send you a confirmation email with a link to confirm your registration.
You can cancel your subscription to the newsletter at any time. Please send your cancellation to the following e-mail address: noreply@variussystems.com We will then immediately delete your data in connection with the newsletter dispatch. After unsubscribing, your mail address will be stored for another 1 year due to legitimate interest, but will no longer be sent.
Data storage
We would like to point out that for the purpose of simplifying the shopping process and for the subsequent processing of the contract, the web shop operator shops the shortened (anonymised) IP data of the connection owner within the framework of cookies, as well as the name, address, e-mail address, company and telephone number of the purchaser.
In addition, the following data will also be stored by us for the purpose of processing the contract: product purchased, date of purchase and delivery. The data provided by you is required for the fulfilment of the contract or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. Without this data, we cannot conclude the contract with you. No data is transmitted to third parties, with the exception of the transmission of the account data to the processing banking institutions/payment service providers for the purpose of debiting the purchase price, to the transport company/dispatch company commissioned by us for the delivery of the goods and to our tax advisor for the fulfilment of our obligations under tax law.
After the shopping process has been cancelled, the data stored with us will be deleted after a backup retention period. In the event of a contract being concluded, all data from the contractual relationship will be stored until the expiry of the retention period under tax law (7 years). The data name, address, purchased goods and date of purchase will be stored beyond that until the expiry of the product liability. The data processing is carried out on the basis of the legal provisions of § 96 para 3 TKG as well as Art 6 para 1 lit a (consent) and/or lit b (necessary for the fulfilment of the contract) of the DSGVO.
Cookies
Our website uses so-called cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your end device with the help of the browser. They do no harm. We use cookies to make our website user-friendly. Some cookies remain stored on your terminal device until you delete them. They enable us to recognise your browser on your next visit. If you do not wish this, you can set up your browser so that it informs you about the setting of cookies and you only allow this in individual cases. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of our website may be limited.
Web analysis
Our website uses functions of the web analytics service Google Analytics. Cookies are used for this purpose, which enable an analysis of the use of the website by your users. The information generated by this is transferred to the provider's server and stored there. You can prevent this by setting up your browser so that no cookies are stored. We have concluded a corresponding contract for commissioned data processing with the provider.
Your rights
You are generally entitled to the rights of information, correction, deletion, restriction, data portability, revocation and objection. If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law or that your data protection rights have been violated in any other way, you can complain to the supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the data protection authority.
